About Us

The Delchar Theater is located in downtown Mayville, ND.

On January 1st, 2014, David and Heather Torgeson took over ownership of the Historic Delchar Theater from previous owners, Steve and Laurel Larson.  The big switch to digital needed to be completed before reopening.  Thanks to the May-Port EDC as well as the Save the Delchar Committee, along with many other donors, the theater was able to purchase a digital projector, a new wide screen, and surround sound.  Along with the new equipment, the Torgeson’s found an opportunity to make some minor changes.  After months and months of painting, the entire interior of the showhall had received a brand new color scheme.  We continue to upkeep the theater and make building improvements as we see needed.  Being able to provide the community with current movie offerings, as well as some classics!
